Delices De Cartier

Délices de Cartier was launched earlier this year, and takes its name from a Cartier jewelry collection. The bottle, inspired by a Cartier brooch, is gorgeous ; the fragrance was created by Christine Nagel of Quest and features frozen morello cherry, bergamot, pink, white and yellow jasmine, pink pepper, freesia, violet, tonka beans, amber and sandalwood.
Délices starts with peppered citrus; the sweet cherry joins in shortly thereafter and intensifies over the next 30 minutes or so. The dry down is sheer, well-blended florals over amber and sandalwood. After an hour, the cherry is quite subdued, and the base is now powdery and warm. It is a sweet fragrance with vanillic undertones, but in keeping with its target market of women in their 30s it is not as heavily sugared as many of the fruity florals released this year, and the Eau de Toilette version which I am wearing today is very soft and light. Nicely done, even if it is not my sort of fragrance, and less foody than I expected.

Red Delicious

Donna Karan has launched Red Delicious fragrances for women and men, both in limited edition. The women's Red Delicious features champagne accord, lychee, red raspberry, apple, rose, vanilla bean, patchouli, amber, and sensual skin accord. The men's fragrance has cognac, rum, saffron flower, cardamom, bergamot, mandarin flower, coffee, apple liqueur, vanilla vodka, davana, tiger orchid, airy ozone, sandalwood, okoume wood, moss, patchouli and iris.

Red in your wardrobe

Grey, black, white….yawn! If you prefer a brighter wardrobe take inspiration from leading ladies Sandra Bullock and Anne Hathaway for red-hot fashion statement. I have hit the seasons hot color – it is every where at the boutiques and the department stores: Massimo Dutti – sleeveless blouse & bow necklace, boxy jackets & patent bag at River Island, satin dress or rose print skirt from Debenhams, red satin shoes and chiffon bandeau from Karen Millen. Harvey Nichols

As some one suggested Harvey Nichols for red outfits and as yesterday I was at the Mall of the Emirates, here are some pictures of their window displays (it is not allowed to take pictures inside) For me the store is new and will take some time to get use to it, if eventually it happens. I wonder what you girls think?

From The Mall of the Emirates

The red dresses at the Mall of the Emirates are not so many, but at least some are on display unlike the City Centre, where I didn’t found even one. Here are some pictures from the windows of Coocoon, Forever 21 and one frou-frou dress from ETOILE.
I am not very keen on red dresses as in my opinion they suit best very young and confident ladies, but I like many smaller pieces in red. Now, if any one would like to check out the Mall of the Emirates for more, please click here.

The catalog is of coarse impressive and the first page says only this:

Actually the Omega concept is very attractive and rotates around traditions:

Red for Paris Gallery

Paris Gallery is my favorite shop. It opened in 1993 at the Blue Souq in Sharja and the size of the shop was no more than 80 meter sq. Today in every Mall across the Emirates there is a Paris Gallery store. And is not surprising at all. Paris Gallery is the largest agent and retailer of hi-end cosmetics, parfumes and designer accessories as bags and watches.
Prices are the same as in Areej or Jashanmal, but varaety is bigger. Red is their color and even the website is done in red. It is worth to click here.
