Hello,

What is the deal with the copy handbags? Are they legal to buy? I know when I was is Deira shopping I went to get one but had to follow the guy all over the place to get into a building and was told to go up to another floor. Didn't go with him. So can I buy one without being arrested or what? Are they allowed to sell them? Where can I get one without following a strange man into a building? Are they nice knock offs or what?
Sorry for all the questions. But I didn't want to be hauled off the jail for some cheap purse.

Thanks

Hi ,
I have never heard of anyone being in trouble for buying one, but it is illegal to sell them. That is why they are all in hidden rooms upstairs or "round the back". I have done it on my own, when I have visited the store before, but most people shop with a friend/friends as I agree it feels uncomfortable following a stranger into these places. As for the quality, some are very good and some are not, some are good copies, some are not. You just have to use your eyes and your common sense to judge the quality and value of them. There are some very nice bags to buy for very good prices, so it's up to you.
